An Integrated Workflow for Pre-stack Gather Optimization

Abstract High-quality seismic data contributes to improving the prediction accuracy of complex reservoirs. Currently, there are numerous methods for enhancing pre-stack gather resolution and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Meanwhile, avoid incorrect interpretation, we must evaluate whether processed maintains its original characteristics reliability. This paper establishes an integrated workflow optimizing common-reflection-point (CRP) that is divided into processing quality control. Furthermore, summarize comprehensive control means explain their specific significance in each step. Data includes four parts: flattening, SNR enhancement, energy compensation improvement. Simultaneously, use well log data, forward simulation, stack inversion guarantee optimized keeps characteristics. Applications carbonate reservoir CRP gathers demonstrate this can comprehensively optimize improve resolution. Importantly, controls results have improved stronger correlation coefficients with data.
